“A successful man is one who can lay a firm
foundation with the bricks others have thrown at him.” -David Brinkley |
The other day as I was wrapping up my day and getting ready to
head out the door, I had a walk-in ask if she could borrow a few minutes of my
time. Now, although I am a fitness business owner, my time is meticulously
calculated days in advance and I pride myself on being on time, especially when
it comes to spending time with my kids. But since I was a few minutes ahead of
schedule, I smiled and politely told her I would actually give it to her for
free. No, not training or consulting, silly… Some time. Sheesh, what do you take
me for, huh?
Anyway, she immediately kicked into telling me she had done hcg,
that it didn’t work, invested into a “substitute a cheeseburger for a protein
shake because they have the same points” program, it didn’t work and also was
walking 45 minutes a day and that didn’t work either. Hmmm…??? I’m mystified,
these crappy, one-size-fits-all programs don’t work??? Really, now…
She goes on to tell me she had lost 10 pounds on hcg, gained it back plus 5 additional pounds, lost 13 pounds on the “substitute a cheeseburger for a protein shake because they have the same points” program and gained it all back plus another 10 pounds and as far as she could see, was still gaining weight on her cardio program. Then she looked at me with tears in her eyes and said, “Can you help me?” Again, I smiled and then said, “Yes, but in order for us to achieve whatever goal we set together, I will also need to recalibrate your thinking regarding the weight loss/fat loss process, ok?” She smiled and timidly shook her head.
Both fat loss and weight loss for most people can be
excruciatingly difficult; there isn’t a magic-bullet or quick-fix remedy for
such intricate bodily issues, especially when addressing complexities such as
hormonal imbalance, menopause, insulin resistance and the like. Nonetheless, it
can be done and it can be done relatively quickly.
So, if your goal is to lose weight and burn fat as rapidly as physiologically
possible, you must incite and engage everything necessary to do so every second
of every hour of every day…twenty four
hours a day… That is, if you truly want to become a metabolic fat-burning
inferno… You hear me?
Awesome… O-K-A-Y…
Sadly enough, even though you’re definitely capable of incinerating
fat 24 hours a day-every day, you most likely are nowhere near doing
so…metabolically speaking.
Fortunately though, it's not your fault. There is hope, I promise…
Now is the time… And together we can and will (if you’re
willing) correct this issue once and for all. Ok?
Frankly, there are numerous things the mainstream media has indeed
misinformed the general public on and about weight loss & fat loss that are
completely erroneous, which are in fact preventing you from experiencing
the most dramatic and rapid results possible.
Here are the A, B, C’s as to why you are NOT rapidly melting
fat 24 hours a day:
A. Ignoring or not acknowledging and addressing your
hormones.
Most weight loss programs merely look at calories. If you consume fewer
calories than you expend, you'll miraculously possess the body of your dreams.
Ah, if only it were as simple as that, huh?
The bottom line is, if your weight loss or fat loss program is not
explicitly addressing your internal hormonal environment through an effective flight
plan that specifically employs carbohydrate sequencing, nutrient timing, food
combining and the occasional, but vital “cheat eating” facet that I will
introduce in a little while from my new success-driven fat loss program.
The quantity of fat you're capable of burning will BE nowhere near its
potential and you will still be where you are right now, probably in even worse
condition, just like my new client was in the beginning of this little story.
BUT… Why is this you ask? Well, because your hormones almost
wholly and entirely control everything
when it comes to fat burning and weight loss.
Let’s call this the proper care and feeding of…you. Simply take
care of your hormones and they'll take care of you. However if you neglect them,
you can pretty much forget about burning fat and or losing weight whatsoever. No
chance in ‘you know where’ to burn fat like a fire burns through a forest. I’m
just sayin’…
B. Failing to perform non-traditional metabolic boosting
exercises.
It’s a science fact that certain types of exercises have been
shown to radically increase metabolism. When I say radically, I mean up to
48 hours ongoing, pretty righteous huh?
These types of oh-so-amazing multi-muscle exercises that yield such
fantastic benefits are not the type of exercises generally being performed in
gyms anywhere.
Most likely, the traditional slow-as-a-turtle, high repetition,
light weight resistance training that you perform diligently week end and week
out in effect has no positive effect on your metabolism, whatsoever.
Oh sure, you'll burn a few calories…but even 45 minutes on a
treadmill will only result in 500 calories burned, or an exceptionally
unimpressive 1/7th of a pound of fat (assuming that all 500 calories
will be unswervingly burnt from stored fat, which they indeed are NOT). Multiply
that by 3 workouts a week and you've only burned a margin over a 1/3rd
of a pound of fat. Wow!
Absolutely pathetic isn’t it? Think of how much time
and money you’ve wasted accomplishing nothing…
It will take you all of 6 whole months to lose 6.5 lbs… That’s
right, three 45 minute sessions a week for 6 whole months to ONLY lose 6.5
pounds.
Not to mention, traditional exercise provides practically NO
prolonged increase or elevation in metabolism. Truth is, your mildly
affected metabolism returns to baseline nearly instantaneously following that
kind of workout.
If you want all of your hard work and effort to have a truly lasting
effect on your metabolism (and your waistline), you must perform whole-body,
multi-muscle resistance exercise with only partial recovery. This is the method
of exercise that I have designed and employ in my secret underground, Seconds-To-None
Fat Loss program.
C. Failing to exercise regularly and consistently.
It really doesn’t matter how good a weight loss or fat loss
program is, it's not worth a damn
if you're not doing it regularly and frequently. This is the single greatest
cause for failure with any exercise program bar none. Nothing works if you
don’t work it.
Amazingly enough, less than 10% of people who begin a fat loss or
weight loss program actually follow through with it for any period of time.
Sad, but true.
Here’s why:
1.
None or very little accountability
2.
None or very little active engagement
3.
None or very little motivation
4.
None or very little time
5.
None or very little results
6.
None or very little planning
7.
None or very little support
Luckily, all of these things can be solved simultaneously with one meticulously
and tremendously well researched and applied resource…
The ALL-NEW Seconds-To-None Fat Loss Program.
Do you want to rise above these 3 fatal
facets of fat loss failure
and engage and employ an exceedingly effective permanent weight loss system that is truly Seconds-To-None?
